Certified Youth Information Centres
The system of Youth Information Centres certification was introduced in 2008 by the Youth Information System Development Framework in the Czech Republic. Any Youth Information Centre which fulfils given conditions can apply for the certification.
The Certified Youth Information Centres follow all the rules given by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports which means they:
- provide quality, verified, and objective information free of charge
- are easily accessible
- work in accordance with European Youth Information Charter
- run their own websites
- have fixed opening hours (at least 5 hours daily)
- Etc.
The body in charge of deciding about certification issues is the Coordinating Council of Youth Information Provides (KRPIM). This council has a status of an advisory body for the ministry and their members are appointed by the vice minister for youth and sports.
