The Czech Republic is a member country of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (hereinafter “JINR”), an international research organisation focused on experimental and theoretical research in the field of elementary particle physics, nuclear physics and condensed matter physics. The more detailed information about the JINR and its core facilities can be found on the website www.jinr.ru. Czech participation in JINR activities is coordinated by the Committee for cooperation of the Czech Republic with Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (www.sujv.cz) (hereinafter “Committee”), through which cooperation can be established.
The grant is available for projects related to research areas that are included in the Topical Plan for JINR Research and International Cooperation and must be related to the scientific, research and educational activities of the JINR. The funds can be used for materials, equipment, services, international scientific and technical cooperation, for financing educational programmes as well as conferences and symposia.
The project proposal shall be submitted in English on the following form: “Application form - grants 2022”.
For the report on this year's project, you can use the form “Report grants 2021”. If you are submitting a new, thematically related project at the same time, it is sufficient to provide the relevant information in the proposal (“Application form – grants 2022”).
Proposals and interim reports are to be submitted by 3rd December 2021 in electronic form (pdf) to the address of the MEYS (marek.vysinka@msmtcz) and in copy to the Secretariat of the Committee for Cooperation of the Czech Republic with JINR (dubna@ujfcascz).
The funds are allocated from the budget of the JINR and their final allocation is subject to the approval of the JINR Directorate. The results will be published on the website of the MEYS and the Committee, including: the names of the applicants, the title of the project and the amount allocated.
Note: Grant proposals will be submitted to the members of the Committee for Cooperation of the Czech Republic with JINR (personal data as specified in the proposal will be forwarded to this advisory body of the MEYS). In the case of successful proposals, the following data will be forwarded to the JINR: names of applicants, institution, project title and proposed amount; the results of the competition will be published in this scope. The personal data provided will be handled in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports’ Personal Data Processing Policy.
