The Giftedness Strategy sets out a process for expert competencies improvement for individuals working with gifted children, pupils and students. This process includes the training in the field of identification, development and use of giftedness for these groups of people:
- (future) teachers,
- (future) educators,
- (future) psychologists,
- (future) special needs educators.
The Giftedness Strategy provides a framework of tasks in the field of legislation and school documentation which needs to be adapted to create better conditions for both the pupils and the teachers when developing giftedness.
Giftedness support system
The Giftedness Strategy assumes formation and provision of necessary coordination both in the field of activities directly linked with care of giftedness and in the information, methodical a strategic field. It creates the basis for gradual building of National network of giftedness support which will be the foundation of functioning system of support and care. The main task of this strategy is creating and coordination of hierarchically structured system that defines subjects and their tasks on all levels from central body (ministerial and inter-ministerial working group) to regional level (regional working group for care of giftedness) and to the school level (giftedness support coordinator).
