Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports participated in the Norwegian Day event celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Financial Mechanisms Office at Norway House in Brussels on 10 and 11 June 2015. On this occasion, the Czech-Norwegian Research Programme was introduced to audience from authorities to the European Union operating in Brussels and a panel discussion was held with representatives of all programme operators. Simultaneously with this event a workshop on the topic of publicity of research projects and communication to the general public took place in Brussels.
Representatives of the programme operators from the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Romania and from the Donor country agreed on a need to improve the means of communication and publicity of research towards the public and that bilateral cooperation in research and development between beneficiary countries and Norway and other EEA countries represents a vast potential, for programmes supporting 145 projects in seven states, but less than 10% of applications could be supported.
